Dads Decorators Ltd

Morning -
I'm posting another card today that I've made for the other man in my life... My Dad. Its his birthday at the beginning of March so obviously I had to use a Dr Digi image and I've gone for Dunderton Decorators Ltd.

Since he retired both my Sister and I have kept him busy with lots of jobs and decorating. He is our Odd job man, maintenance man , dog walker, even the 5th emergency service when I had a tyre blow out recently on the motorway - After all ... what else does he have to do to occupy him??! Luckily for Dad - he and Mum go away on his Birthday to tropical climates so at least he will get some rest.

It's  strange only posting once a week, now that we have such a  bustling roster of talented Design team members. But we've still got plenty of talent out there working on challenges.. Gudrun over at I Love Promarkers is a prime example.  She's made a Fantastic birthday card with Dunderton Decorators Ltd.

Dunderton's Decorators At Your Service

I think most of us have been in a DIY store looking at tins of paint or looking at paint strips just for that perfect shade. However hard I try though I never quite manage to get the shade that it says on the tin. Of course whilst it is me who chooses the paint it's usually not me who puts it on the walls so guess who gets the blame for the colour not looking quite right?

Now don't go fainting on me ya'll....but you might want to sit down for this one!  

Dr. Digi's House of Stamps has created the, I'm getting light headed just getting ready to type it, the PERFECT man!!  Forget you Fabio with your bulging biceps and long wavy main of immaculate hair and a six pack that won't quit, you ain't got nothing compared to Derek here.  I wasn't sure I'd live long enough to see the day, but here he is in all his glory.  The 'honey do' checklist completed and a bucket o' chocolate at the ready! There won't be any sleeping on the couch for this studly hubby tonight.  

Wouldn't this be the perfect card for a man to give to his special squeeze?

Dunderton Decorators, Ltd

It was a beautiful sunshiny day in the world of Dr. Dig's House of Stamps and as Derek sat watching the news and plotting an excuse to leave the house his dear wife, Deirdery, announced that today was the day that Derek would paint the room designated for her prized African violets a different color to showcase their beauty! So . . . instead of watching the women's volleyball team run their laps, Dunderton Decorator, Ltd did as was commanded and dropped everything to start painting. When the fourth gallon of paint was opened and tested, Deirdery made her final pronouncement that the room would be bubblegum pink and furthermore because of the paint fumes, she was leaving the house and taking the dog until the job was completed! Too bad she never bothered to check her shoes! But don't worry, she'll discover the multicolored footprints across their new white shag carpet as soon as they return home!

Poor Derek, he really hasn’t got a clue.

His wife Deirdery has been reading a certain saucy book and looking longingly at Derek she suggested that maybe they took 50 Shades of Grey to the bedroom.

Derek’s trousers & shirt were off before he left the room and Deirdery thought he’d rushed off to prepare himself for a night of passion.

Poor Deirdery, she hasn’t got a clue either. Derek’s in the shed, putting on his decorator’s overalls & going through his paint charts.

There may be trouble ahead!
