Mum's got Green Fingers & Thumbs.

Morning Everyone -
This mornings card I've made for my Mum's birthday on the 5th Feb. I'm organized for once as they are going away to Edinburgh to watch the Rugby at the weekend so I had to be. I know its safe to post though as neither Mum or Dad do Social Media.

This image is perfect for My Mum and is called Green Fingers and Thumbs. I love pottering in my Garden and I definitely got that from my Mum. Anytime I don't know what something this or how I look after a plant - I get my Mum round to help. I'm not sure she has ever grown Marrows though...
This weird weather is confusing my garden - I have tulips and Daffodils coming through already so I won't be long until we can get out again weeding and trimming.

If you want to see the full recipe for this card, take a look at my blog here.

Green Fingers and Thumbs

It's the time of year to start coaxing those seedlings  and giving them ideas of what they shall become, in this case a large marrow or a very fat cucumber! We used to have marrow a fair bit as a kid, but I never see it these days, mind you I don't go anywhere near allotments so that might be why! I'll have to ask the person I gave this card to! For a 50th I would usually go mad on the sarcasm on the front of the card but being the nice best friend I am, I couldn't do that. Nope........ I saved all the sarcasm and rudeness for the inside of the card!

You can find Green Fingers and Thumbs HERE, hope you all have a good weekend

On Your Retirement - Part 3

Another installment of the Retirement card! Here Green Fingers and Thumb Deirdrey catches up on the gardening.

Looks like all the sun and rain of recent times has made the lawn sprout into an almost jungle - time for Derek to wheel out the mower....!

Gardening Duo!

Hi everyone, Stacey here today to show you how you can use more then one digi on a card and make it look like they were meant to be together! Here I have used Gardening Gus and Green Fingers and Thumbs digis. I have placed Green Fingers and Thumbs over the top of Gardening Gus to create the look of them standing side by side. You can check out more details on my blog about how I did this using the Silhouette software.

Why not try overlaying a couple of digis and showing us your result on the Dr Digi Facebook Group? We would love to see them

Keep Smilin'

Gardening Glory

Here is a little something to help you remember warmer days and being outside without 7 thermal layers and waders. You can buy Green Fingers and Thumb from the store plus you can get a bundle deal if you want!

That marrow is a whopper but to be honest, I'd rather be sitting in the summer house sipping something cold and alcoholic!

A Gardening Duo

Every good man has a woman behind him, in the garden though the rules are reversed, every good woman needs a slave behind her, hosing the plants, pulling the weeds, digging for victory in the local village fete largest marrow competition. All women, of course, are more than capable of doing this but if their partner will insist on wearing a tatty old vest out in the garden then you make sure you get the limelight!

You can find all the images over at Dr Digi's House of Stamps, first we have Gardening Gus, a bargain at £1, Green Fingers and Thumbs and finally Watering Can

Green Fingers and Thumbs

Deirdery is determined to have the prize winning marrow this year! So determined, she purchased a cow to ensure fresh manure plus a budget-busting apparatus to store last year's marrow at just the right temperature until the day she could break open the marrow and harvest its seeds for planting! Even though there are several days until the first day of spring, and even longer until the danger of frost has passed, Deirdery, posing as Dr. Digi's House of Stamps adorable gardener, Green Fingers and Thumbs, has decided today is the day to get cracking on this year's blue ribbon! She shoveled the manure and mixed it into the earth and now she's ready to split open the marrow and collect the seeds. Won't she be upset when she finds that over the winter critters have made a lovely home inside her prized marrow and have gotten overly plump indulging in seeds!

A Page From A Scrapbook

Deirdery found her old scrapbook when she was having a clear out last week and she wanted to share this page.  The photo has survived remarkably well along with the prize rosette.

Who would have thought she would have Green Fingers and Thumb!  Deirdery had a right chuckle when she remembered that she had originally anticipated entering the sunflower competition but had to make a change when the seed turned into a whopper of a marrow......!
